About Challenge Walk MS

The Challenge Walk is for people who want to make their mark on MS. It is the ultimate way to embrace a personal challenge of spirit and physical stamina, while walking to create a world free of MS. Your dedication to make a difference will inspire others. It takes courage and conviction to commit to the 3 day, 50 mile Challenge Walk.

As a group united for one cause, we will walk for three days, covering 50 miles to raise funds and show solidarity toward a world free of MS. We promise that if you “Accept the Challenge”, it will be one of the most rewarding journeys of your life. It will be a journey of friendship, stories, physical stamina and most of all, hope.

The Challenge Walk route is fully supported with catered lunches, rest stops stocked with beverages and snacks, port-a-potties and support vehicles to provide transportation assistance. All of your needs will be taken care of event weekend. You will stay two nights with your fellow walkers and be treated to a banquet dinner and entertainment each evening. Each day will begin with a hearty breakfast to give you the energy to take the next step of this life-changing journey.

Getting Started

Register Today & Begin Fundraising
As soon as you register, you’ll have access to our online fundraising tools, making fundraising easier and more convenient than ever. A minimum fundraising commitment of $1,000 for NEW walkers and $1,500 for Veteran Challenge Walkers is required and we’ll be with you every step of the way, with fundraising tools, training schedules, group support and much more. Plus, with our powerful online fundraising tools, we’ve made it easier then ever for your friends and family to contribute to your Walk.

Team Up for More Fun!
A team consists of four or more people.  Forming a Challenge Walk team is an opportunity to conquer a challenge and share a great experience with friends, family members or co-workers.

Volunteer!
The Challenge Walk could not happen without the dedication and support of over 400 volunteers. These individuals bring energy and excitement to the event and assist with all types of tasks. From checking-in Walkers and assisting at rest stops, to driving support vehicles and decorating, there are numerous volunteer positions that will match your interests.

Many volunteers support a friend or family member who is walking. Others volunteer because someone close to them has MS. Some volunteers have no previous connection to MS or the Society and volunteer simply to give back to the community. All of these people are committed to making a difference.

For information on volunteering please contact the Chapter at 314-781-9020, or gatewayinfo@nmss.org.
